Yes I am Serious, and Don't Call Me Shirley! RIP Leslie Nielsen\Michael Screwed King

First I'd like to say yesterday we lost a very funny and talented actor, Leslie Nielsen passed away at 84 years old in his Ft Lauderdale home around his family. He did many serious and science fiction movies but the ones I ever really watched was the comedy movies ever since he made Airplane. I have some of his movies on DVD The Naked Gun 1, Airplane, and Camoflauge and the short lived TV show that started The Naked Gun movies, Police Squad. 

He has made many parody movies like Wrongfully Accused, making fun of The Fugitive, Mel Brooks' Dracula Dead & Loving it which was making fun of Bram Stocker's Dracula, Spy Hard where he was Agent WD-40, Scary Movie 3 & 4 where he played President Harris. and his last movie Super Hero Movie where he played Dragon Fly Guy's uncle parody of Spider Man, and the others I mentioned above these I mentioned were some of my favorites. Thank You Leslie for the Laughs RIP.

And next my thoughts on the 3 hour King Of The Ring episode of Monday Night Raw tonight I didn't see the first few matches but it was a pretty good show. At the end I was marking out for Jerry Lawler because he has always been one of my favorites. Michael Cole came in and screwed The King out of the title. I don't get mad ever with the stuff on wrestling because I know its mostly scripted but I did tonight. Like the Montreal Screwjob where Vince Screwed Bret, tonight Michael Screwed The King. And it is obvious that Michael Cole is the "Anonymous" General Manager. 

Not that I don't like seeing Miz with the Title I am just a Jerry Lawler fan lol. I was glad when The Miz won last week too because it gets boring seeing the same people over and over back and forth with the title.  My favorite on TNA right now who I believe should be the world champion is The Pope, D'Angelo Deniro AKA Elijah Burke.

The Winner of The King Of The Ring I believe it really fits Sheamus because where he is from and the accent, I believe he also is a good wrestler. My favorite King Of The Ring was when Owen Hart won King Of The Ring and the one that made Stone Cold Steve Austin famous where he wrestled Jake The Snake Roberts and came up with is Austin 3:16 saying.

But all in all Raw was a good show. Will post later when I have something else to talk about.

One of my music Hero's and his first album

This man here I have been a huge fan of since I was about 4 or 5 years old and I own his whole discography except for the new box set coming out soon lol. I'm talking about Ray Stevens the first real blog is going to be about his very first album came out in 1962 1,837 Seconds of Humor. With the famous Ahab the Arab. It has 10 other very funny songs my personal favorite is A Hermit Named Dave. This album is from 1962 when he was with Mercury records. 


First time I ever heard the songs was when it came out on a 2 LP on 1 CD compilation I bought it off of Ebay. I will review that one and the other CD's like that as well all in one blog later on. Here is a little bit about my favorite songs from the LP.


Ahab The Arab was his second big hit about Ahab sneaking around with Fatima the king or Sheik's wife behind his back during the nights he was gone. Rode on his camel named Clyde which he named after Clyde McPhatter. Ray makes up this arabian language which is very funny in the songs. The popularity of Political Correctness today some try to say that the song is Racist which it is not in any way.


Saturday Night at the Movies is not the same one by The Temptations this one is about a guy & a girl go see a movie and the man is Jealous of the movie star on the screen because his girlfriend is aweing at him, and as she's doing that he starts not to like the date so much. This one is funny too.


Popeye & Olive Oil is about just the title the cartoon characters Popeye & Olive Oil. This one is a Coasters type song which almost all of Ray's comedy song from back then had that too. 


PFC. Rhythm & Blues Jones is a song about a musician who is drafted in the army and rather play music than to fight in the war because he's too scared, another very funny song on the album.


Some other people has Recorded Scratch My Back, Otis Redding and Elvis Presley. Ray Stevens' version adds some comedy too the song. Not sure if this is the same one or not but they also recorded a song called Scratch My Back


Green & Purple Pills pokes fun a little bit at commercials is what it sounds like to me. I may be wrong but I believe this was his  first hit song before Ahab The Arab, and it is in the Guiness Book of World's Records for the longest song title ever.


A Hermit Named Dave is like I said my favorite song on the Album the funniest one. Dave is a Hippie Hermit who lives in a cave because he doesn't want to get drafted into the army and doesn't like the society of the World. Some said this one is a Bro. Dave Gardner type song sounds like something he would say in his Stand up and to me it also does he was funny as well.

Ray Stevens in my opinion is a under rated Country Music Artist who should have been in the hall of fame long ago a great singer, comedian and musician, member of the song writers and Gospel music hall of fame, 2 time Grammy award winner and has won MCN Comedian of the year many times, and has done a lot for Country Music as being singer and session musician. I think and hope he will be put in the Country Music hall of fame next year.

Introduction: A little bit about me and this page

My name is Daniel Curtis, born and raised in Warner Robins GA and if you can tell by the name of this blogger I'm really into Music, Video Games & Professional Wrestling that is what this blog page is about and some more random stuff. This here is just something to do from when i'm Bored and there is nothing else to do lol. I don't have any of the newer gaming systems like a PS3, Nintendo Wii or XBOX 360 I just have this computer and Super NES, Gamecube, Playstation 1 and a n64 so i'm way behind I will review some of my favorites and some not so much though lol. So since that is so, this page is mostly going to be the other three things Music, Games and other Random stuff lol.

I will talk about stuff happening in Wrestling today, some of my favorite wrestlers and favorite matches and shows. With the music I'm gonna talk about Albums, Singers, Songs and when ever else happens and the Random stuff is maybe something from my other page or just stuff I got on my mind.
